Amex cardholders may not see any expiration date on their cards this year.
The card is no longer redeemable until January 1st.
The deadline is January 1.
Amex says it will keep a record of the date the card expires for the next 30 days.
So the cardholder will see the expiration date in January, and not February, or March.
Amecards expire in January.
The company says it won’t be issuing new cards to Amex holders who haven’t used the card in a year.
AmEx cardholders will get a credit for unused balances, which is capped at $500.
The credit will be calculated on the date that the card is issued.
It’s also worth noting that the Amex Mastercard is no more.
The Mastercard’s terms of service are still valid, so Amex’s cardholders can keep the old one.
