A few days before the season opener, the NHL has sent out a memo to the owners to ensure the players receive their first g’s on Friday.
That’s three days after the teams last practice before they play again.
The memo also gives players a couple of days to take care of any minor injuries that may have occurred during their games.
The memo was sent to owners to make sure they were on the same page, and it does not state how long they will have to wait.
The first g, which is reserved for players who have been injured, is typically reserved for the day the team is set to leave town for the playoffs.
The next g is reserved on the day of the game and typically is the first g after a player is cleared to return to the ice.
