Gravis Marketing founder and former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos, a major Trump supporter, said Monday that he was surprised that the administration had not addressed the issue sooner.
Yiannopoulos was a top Trump adviser during the campaign, and he’s now a prominent Trump critic.
He said the administration’s recent announcement on the issue has only served to fuel the narrative that the policy is dead and buried.
“It’s been dead for a long time,” Yiannopoulos said on “The Laura Ingraham Show.”
“The Trump administration is doing everything they can to make it seem like it is, but this is going to be a big issue that is going get very, very hot.”
He said it was clear that the policies would have a major impact on Americans’ lives.
“What’s happening right now is a great example of the kind of things that people don’t understand about politics, and they just assume that the Democrats are this kind of progressive party,” Yiannopoulos explained.
“That they’re always against the rich, against big corporations, against the powerful.”
